My mission is to make classrooms around the world more inclusive for all children regardless of their needs. If you like what you read here, please use these ideas in your classroom and spread the word.
My passion for inclusive education began in Thailand, where I taught English to underprivileged primary school children, including those with special needs.
I pursued a Master’s in Special and Inclusive Education at the UCL Institute of Education, University College London where I deepened my understanding of best practices, innovative approaches, and the UK context for inclusive education.
My journey continued as a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA). Working alongside dedicated teachers, TAs, and a supportive SENDCO in West Sussex was transformative. It gave me a firsthand understanding of the daily realities and challenges teachers and TAs encounter.
Later, I earned my PGCE in Primary Education from the University of Sussex. This now informs my work and the resources I share.
As a special needs teacher, I specialise in creating sensory learning experiences for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). I believe that every child, regardless of their learning differences, deserves access to engaging and meaningful learning.
Currently, I’m taking a gap year to travel the world, immersing myself in diverse educational settings. This opportunity allows me to read, research, reflect, and write about SEND experiences and practices, further enriching my understanding and informing my work.
Join me on this journey! Explore the resources and ideas shared on this website, and let’s work together to create truly inclusive classrooms for all children.
